By Jona Poems
All these things will kiss the ground,
Leaving behind new ones
With bold ideas,
New visions,
Fresh chapters,
Written not in fear, but in fire
Until our last breath.
We will keep on telling them
The good things that are ours
That we are better than they believe.
Our minds are brighter,
Our ideas are greater.
From them, we get only doubt.
When we rise,
They bury our light under silence.
When we achieve,
We are underrated.
But from us flows confidence,
And from within, courage is born.
This is a new generation,
A generation full of facts,
Not fiction.
We’ve learned to read the signs,
To question the noise,
And to expose the lies.
We know we are placed on the wrong side,
Not because we are wrong
But because we know too much.
Yes, even the things they hide.
Still,
We rise,
We speak,
We fight
Until we breathe our final breath.
Only then will we say:
It is enough.
